In 2019, Tashia Twyman formed Twyman Consulting Group, LLC. which focuses on marketing and crisis management for businesses, organizations, and school systems. Prior to starting her own company, Tashia served as the Director of Communications for Rome City Schools where she was responsible for the management, operations, planning, and coordination of all aspects of the Communications function, coordinating internal and external communications, media relations, social media, directing system-wide branding activities, and relevant collateral materials. While in the role, Tashia also coordinated relevant public engagement and community activities for the organization.
Tashia has been active in many organizations within her community. Her involvement includes Rome/Floyd Chamber of Commerce Board of Director, past Chair of the Open Door Children’s Home, Leadership Georgia Class of 2004, current Program Chair of Leadership Georgia, Junior Service League of Rome Sustainer, Lovejoy Baptist Church Youth Department, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Tashia is married to Christopher, and they are the proud parents of Lauren Christa (16) and Myles Christopher (13).
Tashia N. Twyman was born in Denver, Colorado and grew up in Rome, Ga. She was dual major at Georgia Southern University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing and English. Tashia also received a Master of Education Administration degree from Jacksonville State University.
Tashia has been an advocate of children and education all of her life, and has served as a teacher, adjunct instructor, and tutor at several colleges and schools including Rome Middle School, Shorter University, Ga. Northwestern Technical College, and Georgia Highlands College.
